The Riot Act was originally founded in 2009 and today it includes a team of dynamic and experienced education providers who develop and deliver innovative and memorable learning experiences for all key stages.

Drawn from the world of education and drama and with over a decade of experience, The Riot Act has been responsible for award winning educational projects. Below are the team who help make these projects come to life.

 

Dan Hobson

Company Director

Dan, a professional writer for TV and radio and lecturer in scriptwriting at Bradford University, has a wealth of experience developing scripts, workshop plans and educational resources. Dan’s roles include facilitating the transition between the contractual obligations and any creative development.

Ellen Casey

Company Director

Ellen, a qualified teacher, uses her experience working within the educational system to develop coherent project plans, ensuring each project maintains links to the national curriculum.

Ollie Robinson

Project Manager

Ollie, an English graduate from Keele University, oversees the delivery of all projects and evaluation, ensuring deadlines are met and interventions delivered are to the client’s satisfaction. Furthermore, Ollie completes all project bookings, guaranteeing a full touring schedule, removing the stress from our clients.

Associate actors and workshop facilitators

All of our performers are handpicked to ensure the best possible team are cast for your project. Throughout the years, we have accumulated a list of trained and equity recognised actors, who have vast experience delivering in-school shows and workshops. All our actors have full, up-to-date enhanced DBS checks and have a range of skills which allow them to successfully deliver in-schools events, including: classroom management techniques, workshop delivery training and experience working with young people with special educational needs.
