Muffin, Don’t Get Squished!

Synopsis: An engaging and educational performance for Key Stage 1 (KS1) students that utilises storytelling, puppetry, and music to teach road safety basics. This includes essential concepts for young pedestrians, such as staying safe near roads, understanding different types of crossings, and effectively using the Green Cross Code.

 

Alex and Jay

Synopsis: An engaging and memorable drama-based workshop designed for Key Stage 2 students that focuses on essential road safety practices. The program aims to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining good air quality in local communities. Through interactive drama activities, students will learn vital road safety skills while understanding the impact their travel choices have on the environment.

 

CSI

Synopsis: A unique and interactive workshop that uses multimedia, props and live drama to immerse KS2 students in a ‘mock up’ road incident scene, in which they look for clues and question key witnesses to learn about the importance of safe behaviours around roads.

 

What Went Down

Synopsis: This impactful drama conveys the significance of road safety to Key Stage 3 students during a pivotal period in their development. By emphasising the influence of peer pressure on decision-making, it encourages young individuals to recognize and navigate the complexities of their choices and behaviors. The performance serves as a valuable tool in fostering awareness and resilience, equipping students with the skills needed to make informed, safe decisions in their daily lives.

Wanna Lift?

Synopsis: The presentation is designed for KS4/5 students, employing an engaging blend of drama, video, and scientific insights to address the pressing issues surrounding young drivers and their passengers. By highlighting the barriers they face- ranging from peer pressure and inexperience to distractions — the session aims to create a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with young driving.

 

What Are You Gonna Do?

Synopsis: This project aims to equip Key Stage 3 and 4 students with essential life skills alongside road safety knowledge. By integrating practical experiences and scenarios, students will learn to navigate real-world challenges both in school and in their personal lives.

How We Roll

Synopsis: This program, designed for KS2 students, encompasses a dynamic combination of a show, workshop, and interschool competition. Participants will engage in activities aimed at educating them about the principles of safe and sustainable travel. Through informative sessions, students will explore the importance of active travel methods, such as walking, cycling, and public transportation.

 

Street Smart

Synopsis: This engaging presentation combines humor and creative sketches to effectively communicate the key advantages of active travel for KS3/4 students. By focusing on the benefits of walking, cycling, and using public transport, the session aims to inform and motivate students to embrace more active modes of transportation.
